ETIAS Visa

The European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) is expected to launch in mid-2025. The ETIAS is a new entry requirement for visa-free/foreign travellers entering European countries for short stays (up to 90 days in any 180-day period). It's designed to improve security and simplify border checks. 

How to Apply

Travellers must apply for ETIAS using an online portal before their trip. It should take only a few minutes to finish. The application requires: 

  • Personal Information 

  • Passport Information 

  • Destination within the EU 

  • General background information 

  • A fee of €7, waived for travellers under age 18, or over age 70​

What we Know

The ETIAS is expected to launch six months after the Entry-Exit System (EES) becomes operational. There is still a bit of uncertainty as to when this will take effect, but we will update you as we get more information.
